The Community Arts Partnership

The Spring Writes Literary Festival is one of the many programs of the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County (CAP). For over 32 years CAP’s grants, programs, initiatives and services have been a driving force behind the vibrant arts community of Ithaca and Tompkins County. ArtsPartner.org

While all Community Arts Partnership’s annual events are free (YAY!), we do need to fundraise throughout the year. Would you like to join others in helping make events like Spring Writes possible?  Visit our donate page to give today.  Thank you!

Our mission is to strengthen the arts in Tompkins County by supporting artists and arts groups, ensuring equitable access to the arts, and cultivating a creative culture that reflects our community’s diversity.

Connecting Artists and Audiences

The Ithaca Artist Market, the Spring Writes Literary Festival, the CAP ArtSpace Gallery, the Greater Ithaca Art Trail and the CAP-a-Palooza Art Sale are all CAP programs along with quarterly networking events and an annual workshop series.

Funding the Arts in Tompkins County

CAP has five grant programs and has distributed over 7 million dollars over the last 30 years to artists, arts organizations, and not-for-profits for public programming, artist and community partnerships, artist career opportunities, and school/after-school artist residencies.

Helping Artists Make a Life in Tompkins County

There are over 1,000 artists each year that benefit from CAP and that number continues to grow. CAP is proud to assist local artists in producing the creative work that so enriches our communities.
